The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) affects every body part and helps to regulate basic physiological processes. Many different body systems may experience a wide range of symptoms when a primary or secondary illness impacts any part of ANS behavior. These symptoms could include orthostatic hypotension, a significant drop in blood pressure that occurs when one moves from a seated to a standing posture, or urine incontinence. (more…)
