Accessibility Statement

Padda Institute is operated by INTERVENTIONAL CENTER FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT, P.C. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” below mean that entity.

We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard alone, use magnification, or rely on captions. This statement sets out what we aim for, what we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to reach a person if the site gets in your way.

What we aim for

We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We have not commissioned an independent audit against that standard, so we do not claim formal conformance to it. We would rather tell you what we actually do than publish a badge we have not earned.

Measures in place

• Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning, written to say what the image shows rather than repeating the caption
• Text and background contrast checked against every surface an element actually sits on, not only against the page background
• Heading levels in order, without skipped levels, so a screen reader can build a usable outline of the page
• Content written in the case it is meant to be read in, rather than restyled by CSS, so screen readers announce it correctly
• Keyboard focus kept visible, and interactive controls reachable without a mouse
• Layouts that reflow on small screens and at increased text size without content being cut off

Known limitations

Some material on this site is not fully accessible, and we would rather say so than let you discover it:

• Third-party embeds. Forms, maps and video players supplied by other companies are outside our control, and their accessibility is their own. Where one of these blocks you, contact us and we will give you the same information directly.
• Documents. Older PDFs may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the content in another format.
• Video. Captions are added to video we produce. Older material may not yet be captioned.

Language access

If English is not your first language, tell us and we will arrange interpretation for your visit at no cost to you. That applies to the conversation about your care, not only to paperwork. You do not need to bring a family member to translate for you.

Getting into the building

There is parking on site and a ground-floor entrance with a full-size elevator. If you need something specific to attend comfortably — a ground-floor room, extra time, somewhere quiet to wait, or space for a wheelchair or a companion — tell us when you book and we will arrange it rather than improvise on the day.

You never have to use this website to reach us. Anything published here can be explained over the phone by a person, including appointment requests, and doing it that way is not a lesser service.

Feedback and enforcement

We treat accessibility problems as defects rather than requests, and we aim to respond within a few business days. If you have raised something and are not satisfied with how we handled it, tell us again and ask for it to be escalated — we would rather hear it twice than have you give up on it.
