Which bridge you take matters more than the miles. From Madison County, take I-270 west across the Chain of Rocks crossing. It runs almost straight toward Lambert Airport and our Woodson office. It skips downtown entirely. From St. Clair County, take I-64 west over the Poplar Street Bridge, then north on I-170. That is usually faster outside rush hour. But it runs you through the downtown interchange.
Neither route is long. Plan around the afternoon rush on I-270 westbound. It can add twenty minutes for no good reason. Morning visits are usually an easier drive from the Illinois side. Our schedulers know this. Tell them where you are coming from and they will offer one.
No. Many patients refer themselves. Some plans need a referral for coverage. That is a separate question, and we will check it.
