Significant cardiac or respiratory disease, anticoagulation that complicates matters, a need for deeper sedation, or a procedure where the safest answer is an operating room and an anesthesia team.

Consultations, diagnostic blocks and image-guided procedures take place at our Missouri offices — 4477 Woodson Rd, St. Louis, where the fluoroscopy suite is installed, or 12174 Natural Bridge Rd, St. Louis. From Maryville that is roughly a half-hour drive, usually I-55/70 west to I-270, then south toward the airport.
A half-hour drive each way is not trivial when you are in pain, so we try to compress the sequence rather than spreading it across visits.
Where a diagnostic block is clearly indicated and you want to proceed, it can frequently be performed the same day as your consultation instead of requiring a second trip.
