Practice-reported opioid outcomes released on International Overdose Awareness Day: the average new patient arrives above 90 MME per day, 21% are completely weaned within 90 days and 34% within one year, and most of those who cannot be fully weaned are brought below 30 MME. The argument is that tapering and treating are not the same intervention.
